Steve Kunkel dedicated his work to create, build and support the Indiana High School Bowling Program. Steve spent years mentoring youth bowlers, coaches and conference coordinators while growing a competitive high school bowling program.
Steve believed that those who had a competitive passion for bowling, a desire to learn and represented good sportsmanship, would succeed regardless of winning or losing.

This prestigious scholarship is awarded annually to 1 girl & 1 boy
from each zone* – North, Central, South (6 scholarships total)
Recipients will be announced at the Indiana High School Bowling State Finals
and presented at the IHSB All-State Tournament
Coaches, Parents and Bowlers can nominate a bowler from their team (or any other team) for this award.
The following criteria shall be used in nominating a bowler:
The nominee must have bowled at least two complete seasons in the High School Bowling Program.
The nominee must have bowled in at least 4 individual matches in the current season.
