Richmond 40 Bowl

FYI: IHSB Conference Play Point System

10 Oct from 100 ADMIN - IHSB

🎳 IHSB Match Scoring System

Each regular-season match has two games:

10 points per game → 20 total points per match

1 point per bowler who beats their opponent

5 points to the team with the highest team total that game

Ties:
Individual tie = ½ point each
Team tie after both games = total pins decides winner; if still tied, ½ point each

🏆 Conference Standings

Standings are based on matches won (or winning percentage).
Ties in standings are handled per conference rules:

Conferences may declare co-champions, or
Use a tie-breaking roll-off (must be approved and shared before the season starts).
Some conferences may also use total points won or total pins as secondary tiebreakers.

🧩 Position Round Format (Baker Games)

All IHSB conferences are required to hold at least one position round during the season, consisting of 10 Baker games.

Scoring System:
2 points per Baker game to the winning team
The team with the most total points across the 10 games earns one match win in the standings
If total points are tied, total pins break the tie

Baker Format:

Each bowler bowls two frames per game:

Bowler 1 → Frames 1 & 6
Bowler 2 → Frames 2 & 7
Bowler 3 → Frames 3 & 8
Bowler 4 → Frames 4 & 9
Bowler 5 → Frames 5 & 10

Teams alternate lanes after each Baker game
Substitutions are allowed at any time, but a player may not re-enter that same game

If a bowler is absent, that player receives zero for any missed frames

Standings for position rounds are determined by:
Matches won
Total points won
Total pins (if still tied)
